Children’s Houses

In 2022 Autism From The Start expanded and opened their second Children’s House in Shawnee, Kansas with the same intent of providing a warm and inviting environment inside and outdoors to stimulate learning, connections, and growth.

The Children’s House in Lenexa, Kansas is our original location. This historic setting of beautiful indoor and outdoor learning spaces provides a comfortable and welcoming location for our year-round therapies.

At both locations you will find:

  • The sensory-rich and beautiful outdoor space includes a playground, mud kitchen, swings, trike track, climbing sets, native wildflowers and grasses, and wildlife in its many forms.

  • Our outdoor classroom is a fully-interactive learning opportunity, helping us stimulate growth in cognitive, social, communication and sensory-motor skills.

  • Being located in a house helps our children feel at home.
